Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Jacket Potatoes (about 290g each or 10.2 oz) These potatoes are the stars of the show, with plush and creamy flesh inside a perfectly crisp skin.
  • 2 tsp Oil Just a touch of oil adds a luxurious richness to the potato’s exterior.
  • Salt A sprinkle of salt enhances the natural flavor and gives depth.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Prick each potato all over with a fork about four times to allow steam to escape.
  • Place the potatoes on a microwaveable plate. Microwave individually for the following times: 8 minutes for 1 potato, 10 minutes for 2 potatoes, and 12-14 minutes for 3 or 4 potatoes.
  • Check the potatoes with a knife to ensure they are soft all the way through. If they are still firm, continue microwaving in 1-minute intervals until tender.

Cooking

  • Coat the skins with spray oil or roll them in 2 tsp of oil on a plate. Sprinkle salt generously over the skins.
  • Transfer the potatoes to the air fryer and cook at 200°C (400°F) for 8-10 minutes. For a crispier skin, cook a little longer.
  • Remove the potatoes from the air fryer once golden and crispy. Serve with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For an even fluffier interior, consider wrapping the potatoes in aluminum foil before air frying. Experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder, paprika, or chili powder for added flavor.
