Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound cheese tortellini, fresh and not frozen Pasta pockets filled with gooey cheese.
  • 2 tablespoons oil For achieving a perfect golden-brown crunch.
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese Finely grated to add a salty, nutty dimension.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Optional dipping sauce that pairs well with tortellini.

Instructions

Cooking the Tortellini

  • Boil a pot of water and add the cheese tortellini. Cook according to package instructions, reducing the time slightly (e.g., if it says 2 minutes, cook for 1 minute).
  • Drain the tortellini, pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess water.
  • Mix the drained tortellini with oil in a large bowl to evenly coat. Add parmesan cheese and toss again. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Preheat the air fryer and spray the basket with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the tortellini in a single layer in the basket. Set the air fryer to 360°F and time for 7-9 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Carefully spoon the tortellini onto a plate, allowing them to cool. Serve with heated marinara sauce, garnishing with additional parmesan cheese or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider using different cheeses in the tortellini, or adding spices/herbs to the oil mix. Advice for ensuring crispy tortellini includes checking occasionally to prevent burning and adjusting cooking times based on air fryer model.
